So passionate about photography and film making since childhood, his first studio has played a great role in displaying his works through an immense talent and potential. At the age of 19th, he owned his own studio called Devon Studio- Advertising and it has become the best in the area of designing, graphics, high profile photo and video shoots, advertisement. His amassed experience in creating stories, directing, and supervising a diverse range of productions has led him to make his dream come true. He has found Talage Film Productions PLC on the year 2015 and is currently its Creative Director and chief executive officer.

Besides his extensive background in photography and graphics design, Abiy is a versatile filmmaker. His previous projects include the globally acclaimed HORIZON BEAUTIFUL, Ethio-Swiss production in which he has partaken as a co-writer and location manager. In an Amharic full length feature film entitled ENE ENA BETE, he was there as an Assistant Director. In YETASERE EWUNET, yet another Amharic feature film, he was in the position as an Assistant Director. And the production manager of the documentary film which is called HARBOR too.

Abiy Getahun Terefe is the member of EFMA (Ethiopian Film Makers Association) And he is a registered script writer confirmed by the Writers Guild of Califoria,West Inc.
